The University of the Philippines Alumni Association in America, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States.
Section 501(c)(3) is the portion of the US Internal Revenue Code that allows for federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, specifically those that are considered public charities, private foundations or private operating foundations.TIN 80-0816109.

Mission

We envision a strong broad-based organization of alumni of the University of the Philippines in the service and support of the Alma Mater, the UP Alumni, the UP System and the community in pursuit of common goals.

Vision

Our mission is to engage alumni of the University of the Philippines to work together on educational, charitable, cultural, and other meaningful projects that benefit alumni, the UP System, and the community in pursuit of our common goals, drawing on our individual and collective resources and of those in the community where we live.

UPAAA History

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association in America was founded in 1981 by a group of graduates of the University of the Philippines in New Jersey, led by Dr. Arsenio Talingdan with the primary aim to unite UP alumni associations in America and to work for the preservation of the UP System as the national center for academic excellence, freedom and service. In more than three decades, UPAAA, Inc. has held 21 General Assemblies/ Conventions of UP alumni in the US.
